Butler Man Charges With Stealing A Bus...

Going for a ride in a bus after a Steelers game isn't a crime. Stealing a bus and driving it after drinking a substantial amount of alcohol is.

KDKA's Ross Guidotti reports that Patrick Kerr, a resident at the Bonniebrook Personal Care Home, stole a bus after he grew tired of walking.

"I didn't believe it at first, but it happened," said Mandy Steere, of the Bonniebrook Personal Care Home. "He flew down the driveway in the bus, went back to the facility and calmly sat down like nothing happened."

Kerr, 54, has been watching the Steelers game at Alexander's Bar in Jefferson Township, Butler County.

When the game ended, he started walking home on Freeport Road. Kerr told state police that he remembers drinking 15 beers during the game.

Kerr drove the bus into the woods near the personal care home before getting it stuck in the mud.

"He did discuss with a couple of the residents and staff that he was going to see his attorney in Pittsburgh Monday morning," Steere said. "So he needed a ride."

He is being held in the Butler County Jail on charges of DUI and theft. Bond has been set at $3,000.
